Privacy Policy

This policy describes how the site handles information about visitors. It is written against how the site actually works, which is why it is much shorter than a typical privacy policy.

Last updated: 21 October 2026

1. What this site does not collect

Three things are deliberately absent in the current build:

  • No cookies. The site writes no cookies and stores no identifiers in localStorage.
  • No analytics. No traffic measurement of any kind — no page paths, dwell time or device fingerprints.
  • No third-party tracking scripts. No external analytics, advertising or profiling code is loaded.

If analytics are added later, this section and the ones below will be revised, and the update date at the top of the page will change.

2. Information you choose to send

When you fill in the diagnostic form, the data is not submitted to this site's server. Browser-side script assembles it into an email which your own mail client sends to hello@citemirror.com. The data travels from your device to our inbox; the site neither passes it on nor stores it.

What typically arrives, depending on what you fill in:

  • Company or brand name
  • Your name or how you prefer to be addressed
  • Email address or WeChat ID
  • Website URL (optional)
  • The question you most want AI to answer about you, plus any notes (optional)

Purpose: solely to reply to your enquiry, assess whether GEO fits your situation, and — only if both sides agree — proceed to an engagement. It is not used for advertising and no profile is built.

Disclosure: we do not sell, rent or share it. Third parties are involved in two cases only: our email provider transmits and stores the mail under its own terms; or disclosure is compelled by law or a competent authority.

3. Server access logs

The site is hosted on a cloud server. The hosting provider records access logs in the ordinary way — typically IP address, user agent, request time and path. These support security auditing and fault diagnosis. We do not analyse them or link them to individuals; retention follows the provider's default.

4. Retention

Enquiry emails are kept for 24 months after the matter is closed, for follow-up and for evidential purposes. Messages are deleted once that period passes with no ongoing correspondence. You may ask for earlier deletion at any time.

5. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information we hold, and you may withdraw consent and ask us to stop contacting you.

To exercise any of these, email hello@citemirror.com stating what you need and how we can verify your identity. We reply within 15 business days.

6. Minors

The site serves business clients and is not directed at minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors; anything received in error is deleted.

7. Security

The site is served over HTTPS throughout. Enquiry emails live in a mailbox protected by two-factor authentication, accessible only to project members. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed absolutely secure; our measures are proportionate to the sensitivity of the information involved.

8. Changes

This policy is updated as the site changes. Material changes to purpose, scope or method will be flagged at the top of this page with a revision note. Current version: v1.0 (21 October 2026).

9. Contact

For anything privacy-related, write to hello@citemirror.com with “Privacy” in the subject line so it is prioritised.
